Alliance Insurance Company today donated soccer jerseys worth M500 000 to four premier league teams; Matlama, LCS, Linare and Lioli.

The donation is part of the company’s ongoing 30-year anniversary celebrations.

Alliance Insurance public relations and corporate communication manager Limakatso Mokobocho said they have decided to celebrate with their four partner teams as part of their corporate social responsibilities to give back to the community.

Mokobocho stated that it is through the support of Basotho that Alliance has clocked 30 years in the country, hence the decision to celebrate with them.

She recalled that since last year, they have been celebrating in different ways to extend a helping hand to their communities in which they operate.

“After noticing that there is huge problem of malnutrition which leads to stunted growth in children, we then approached Baylor Foundation because it is already working in five districts to take care of vulnerable children including those with malnutrition.

“We bought mealie meal worth M 300 000 which was distributed in the five districts,” Mokobocho noted.

She added that Alliance had also built two classrooms at Ha Kelebone, Mphaki in Quthing district.

“We also donated M 600 000 to Sepheo Foundation, which identifies, reintegrates and educate children living and begging on the streets in Maseru,” Mokobocho said.

Alliance also partnered with the Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation to make landmark frames to various tourism destinations across the country.
