The ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Lesotho, Elsebethen Sondergaard Krone, has presented her letters of credence to King Letsie III.

Krone is accredited to Lesotho on a non-residential basis, from Pretoria in South Africa.

A recent statement from the ministry of foreign affairs and international relations said Lesotho and Denmark have maintained warm and fraternal relations over the years.

“Both countries share common membership in the United Nations and in most of its specialised agencies such the Food and Agricultural Organisation, International Labour Organisation and the World Health Organisation.

“Denmark is one of the prime contributors of technical and financial support to Lesotho through the European Union Commission,” it noted.

Lesotho has in the past implemented experience-sharing programmes in local government devolution projects through Danish assistance.
