International wellness coach, Bokang Sephelane has launched his own wellness and fitness club, designed to promote healthier living while also creating business opportunities within the health and nutrition sector.

With more than 10 years of experience in fitness coaching, Sephelane said he has seen first-hand how social connection can transform people’s approach to health.

“People thrive when they feel part of a group. A collective environment not only improves mood but also strengthens commitment to wellness,” he said.

The new club seeks to build a community where people can adopt sustainable habits, share knowledge and inspire each other. Running, in particular, will be central to the programme.

Sephelane explains that running is simple, accessible, as it does not only bring people together, but also creates a natural platform for community building while improving fitness.

His passion for running was shaped at home. Sephelane credits his father, an avid marathon runner, for sparking his early interest.

“Watching him compete made me realise that running was more than a sport. It was a way to connect people and inspire discipline,” he noted.

Beyond fitness, Sephelane wants the club to fill what he calls a “major gap” in nutrition education.

He says that many people struggle because they lack knowledge about how food fuels performance and wellbeing, adding that his goal is to empower communities with the right information and tools.

To support this, the club recently launched a WhatsApp channel where members can access updates on training sessions, wellness talks, and nutrition tips.

Sephelane said the platform was chosen deliberately.

“With more than two billion users worldwide, WhatsApp gives us the reach we need to keep people engaged and informed,” he explained.

The initiative is already gaining traction among corporate organisations. Recently, Sephelane’s team partnered with a local company during its wellness day to educate staff on nutrition and fitness. The session led to the company adopting a “healthy breakfast” programme, with Sephelane’s team providing employees with nutritious meals every morning.

He revealed that more collaborations are underway as the club explores partnerships with businesses and institutions to expand its impact.

“Our mission is to empower people to live healthier, more productive lives. Working with companies allows us to reach larger groups and demonstrate that wellness is not just personal – it’s also professional and social,” he indicated.

Sephelane believes the club can redefine how people in the region approach fitness and lifestyle choices. By blending physical activity, nutrition education, and community engagement, he hopes to create a sustainable model that inspires lasting change.

“We are not just building a club. We are building a movement that prioritises health, connection, and opportunity for everyone,” he added.
