Standard Lesotho Bank rewards loyal customers

‘Malehakoe Tsoamotse and ‘Matlotliso Nhlapho were among the lucky winners of Toyota Starlet cars in Standard Lesotho Bank’s Hoa Khonahala campaign.

The winners were rewarded for consistently using Standard Bank cards for transactions such as swiping, instant money, buying electricity, and airtime since August 2025, with minimum transaction value of M20. Three other finalists took home cash prizes of M7000, M5000, and M3000 each, recognising their loyalty and continued engagement with the bank.

Monthly trolley dash prizes added excitement and momentum, keeping customers actively engaged and reinforcing positive digital banking habits.

Nhlapho extended her heartfelt thanks to Standard Lesotho Bank for rewarding her with a car.

She said she was shocked because she was not aware that she was running for the campaign.

“I am very grateful that today I won this car and will never have to worry about my broken car anymore,” Nhlapho noted.

Speaking during the event last Friday, Head Personal Banking at Standard Lesotho Bank, Teboho Sello, said the campaign aimed to reward customer loyalty and promote digital usage.

Sello indicated that since the campaign started, over 800 Standard Lesotho Bank users had participated, reflecting growing trust in digital banking and a clear shift towards innovative financial solutions across the country.

“To become winners, customers were required to complete at least three qualifying transactions each month, consistently, with at least a value of M20. These include swipe or tap at any card machine or point-of-sale terminal, Instant Money transfer, and purchase of prepaid airtime or electricity using Standard Lesotho Bank’s App, Internet Banking, or Mobile Banking.”

Sello highlighted the importance of rewarding customers in meaningful ways, noting: “Lesotho is our home; we drive her growth. When Basotho grow and succeed, we as the bank thrive.”

Meanwhile, the bank’s Chief Executive, Samuel Seboka, congratulated the winners, expressing his appreciation to customers for their continued trust and support.

He reaffirmed Standard Lesotho Bank’s customer-first philosophy and its role in supporting national progress.

Seboka also noted that the handover comes at a particularly significant time when Standard Lesotho Bank marks its 30th anniversary this year.

The Ha Monate Joang Campaign forms part of a broader anniversary programme through which the bank is celebrating three decades of service by investing in customers, communities and forward-looking banking solutions.

The initiative builds on a strong tradition of customer appreciation, following similar rewards programmes in previous years, including the gifting of a vehicle to a lucky customer in early 2025.

Both vehicle winners described the moment as emotional and life-changing, sharing that they had been facing challenges with their own vehicles prior to winning. They further expressed gratitude to the Bank for what they described as a timely and unexpected reward.

“As it enters its 30th year, Standard Lesotho Bank remains committed to making banking simpler, safer and more rewarding, while continuing to champion digital transformation and inclusive growth across Lesotho,” Seboka added.
