Vodacom Group has secured its position at the pinnacle of employer excellence, having been named Africa’s Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute for the third year running.

This distinction affirms the group’s commitment to delivering exceptional employee experiences, championing innovation, embedding ethical technology practices and leading with a people-first ethos.

In addition to the group-wide accolade, individual Top Employer certifications have been awarded to Vodacom Lesotho, Vodacom Mozambique, Vodacom South Africa, Vodacom Tanzania, Safaricom Ethiopia and Safaricom Kenya. Each market demonstrated exemplary standards in human capital management, underscoring the group’s consistent leadership in workforce development across diverse markets.

Group Chief Executive Officer, Shameel Joosub, commented: “Being certified as Africa’s Top Employer for a third consecutive year marks an important milestone in our Vision 2030 journey. The Top Employer certification is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous benchmarks for assessing human resources excellence. It evaluates how organisations align their people strategies, workplace culture and employee experiences with global best practice.

This year’s assessment spanned 20 HR domains, including People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Employee Wellbeing, and Diversity and Inclusion.
